What is PrisonServer?

PrisonServer is a PC online game for Windows. It's a persistent world, multiplayer online game. The game is played exclusively over the Internet with other real players from all over the world. Combines classic online RPG gameplay and unique feaures. You have to survive and make your way from just a rookie to gang leader or boss, meet new friends and get a life while becoming stronger to gain real respect. Players unite, collaborate & fight creating their own gangs and ranks within the prison confinements.

Will my PC run PrisonServer?

Chances are yes. Here you have the light system requirements:

Windows VISTA ready. Don't require admin privileges
Requires an internet connection to play

Which monthly fee has PrisonServer?

When you create an account, you have a free testing period so you can get to grips with the game and enjoy its unique features. Past this period, if you want to keep playing, you will have to renew your subscription. This subscription, usual in most online games, will allow the further development of the game and the maintenance of the server infrastructure.

How can I buy the full version? Will I lost all my characters once my free time expire?

Once your free time expires, you don't need to create any other account or buy nothing, since this is the Gold game. So you'll keep your characters. You'll only have to renew your subscription plan for your current account, from the "buy a subscription" section at "manage account" from the website. You can look up the fees in this page.


Will there be multiple methods of payment besides just credit cards?

What is a premium account?

Once you have your PrisonServer game account, you can pay a one-time fee to convert it to a "premium account". That allows your account for having a PIN number to access the game / the website, use emoticons ingame and use "IP protection", useful for cibercafés.

Can I play from [some place] ?

Sure, the game can be played from anywhere in the world with an internet connection that can reach our servers. The English PrisonServer system has USA based servers and ping / latency is not a major problem here like other games.

Is the game continuously updated with new content?

Yes, the game frequently updated with patches that introduce new content, address balancing issues or resolve the occasional bug that might rear its ugly head, as happens with all computer software. When these patches are available, they will be automatically installed on your computer when you start the PrisonServer client.

Can I let my friend play one of my characters while I play another one on the same account?

No, you won't be able to do that. You can only log in one character per account at a time. Since users connect to the game using a unique username and password, it is possible to install and play PrisonServer on multiple computers or multiple windows, though you can only log in one character per account at a time.


Can I alt-tab in and out of the game?

Yes, you can also run the game in a window


What about newcomers and newbies? Veteran players kill them all the time?

We have two types of prisons to avoid this from happening.

One prison type is PvP, or 'forced player versus player'. All newbies (and veterans) are exposed to be killed by other players (althought there are safe zones, etc). Some newbies like this as it's more exciting having to evade others and having to rapidly join a gang to get protected. Some other newbies just don't want to be disturbed and want to level up without problems and the other type of prison is for them.

The other type of prison is the 'normal prison', where you have to refuse the Shelter of the Guards (SotG) if you want to fight other players or be exposed to fight with them. So all new characters begin in this type of prison having the SotG, and they choose when they want to refuse it. They all do, soon or later, to join the party.


Is the game for solo or group play?

There is a very involving and in-depth quest system that will allow players (if they wish) to level their way up without the need of help from others; nevertheless, those that like to form guilds will be able to take part in group situations and of course there is quests in PrisonServer which will require you to unite a guild O AL MENOS CONTAR CON SU APOYO.


Is there a way to finish PrisonServer? Can I do a prison break?

There are thousands of hours of game play in the shipping game, and nearly infinite goals for players. Because we'll have a live team regularly adding new quests, PNJs, and items, the game will never truly end. You have to survive and rule your prison, not to escape.
