  QUICK STARTUP GUIDE

Until we complete the remaining sections of the game manual in the upcoming days, we've started to setup this little Quick Startup Guide.

If you've created your free account, downloaded the game client, patched and ready to login, this guide complements some missing manual sections and sets you ready to play.

This guide include basic chat commands, not-so-obvious controls and some "game gems".

USE /HELP AS QUICK REFERENCE FOR COMMANDS

Type the /help command anytime ingame to list the basic commands (including chat, skills, and others).

  YOUR FIRST CHARACTER OFFENCE

When creating your first character, remember that every offence has a different difficulty to play.

Easiest ones are those without the First Aid skill (Mercenary, Serial Killer, etc). Hardest to play (or level up, due their weakness) are those that have this skill.

Check offences for character creation here in the manual.

PVP PRISONS AND SHELTER OF THE GUARDS

When selecting a prison, you'll note the (Full PVP) suffix. In this type of Prison, any player can crush you regardless your level or if you're a newbie (unless you're in a safe zone), but you get an experience bonus for playing here. Killing a player gives you a "tag item" with his nickname on it. Happy trophy collection!

Other prisons without this PVP prefix, apply for the Shelter of the Guards rules, that avoid player-killing unless the player wants it. In this prisons you can always /duel someone regardless this rules. Read more about this in the manual.

  MAKING A SCREENSHOT

To make a screenshot ingame, just type /screenshot or press the asterisk (*) in your keypad.
Screenshots are saved in JPEG format in your game folder.

Pressing CTRL+F12 will hide the interface buttons, windows, etc. to be able to do a nice /screenshot (press CTRL+F12) again to restore the interface.

  EACH CELLBLOCK IS DIFFERENT

Keep in mind that there are 4 cellblocks. You can jump from one cellblock to another talking to the Nurse in the lobbies. Each cellblock is surrounded by different zones, NPCs, quests, vendors, etc. The items you can get in one cellblock may be useful for a quest near you, or near another cellblock.

  BASIC CHAT COMMANDS

To repeat your last input and run the "history" of issued commands, use the cursor up or down keys.

To speak to the zone, use the command /zone

To be able to "shout to prison" you'll need a megaphone item. You can buy it from any "mental patient" in some interior courtyards that surround the cellblocks.

To shout a message to all players in your prison (once you have a megaphone), use these commands:
/all (to speak about the game)
/shout (to speak out of character)
/auction (to yell for help, announce, sell or request items, help, etc)

To send private messages regardless where a player is, you need a mobile telephone item. You also buy it from the mental patient. Once you got it, use the /tell command:
/tell nick your message
To reply a "tell", press CTRL+Y (from reply) and the command /tell nick for the last nick received will automatically appear. If it's not the nick you want to tell, you can use the cursor up or down keys to switch latest nicknames that sent you a tell.

To speak to your fight side (within a fight), use the /side command.

To speak to your gang or group use /gang or /group commands.

To express an action (zone only), use the /me command (i.e. /me is having fun).

Function keys (F1-F12) will bring up commonly utilized commands. You can configure them through the /setacckey command.

To check emoticons (you'll need a Premium account) to use them, press CTRL+V and use your cursors up, down, left and right and ENTER to select.

  HOW TO GET MONEY

Other players can give you money, but doing it yourself requires that you defeat some poor souls (Non-Player Characters) in a fight to loot their corpses and SELL the bounty to NPC vendors. If a NPC can sell you things, you can sell him things to get some money.

You also get extra, instant money when you raise an experience level.

To learn more about fights, experience levels, etc. please read the manual.

HOW TO FIGHT, JOIN FIGHTS AND GAIN EXP

To take part on a fight already started, right-click the fight to open the "join window". Once inside the fight screen, remember to right-click once is your turn to bring up the "icons wheel". Learn more  about fights.

You'll raise an experience level when you fill your experience bar. Then you can power up your skills and stats!

  TRANSLATING INGAME

Use the /translate command ingame to be able to translate TO ENGLISH any word or phrase from Italian, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.

Type /translate to get help on this command.

  USEFUL SHORTCUTS AND OTHER GEMS

Type the /help command anytime to list the basic commands (including chat, skills, and others).

You can easily resize the global chat window by dragging the white "Chat button" or using keys CTRL+UP or CTRL+DOWN.

The command /win nick will unfold the chat console, being set ready to automatically /tell this player in a convenient way.

/who nick command will tell you if that player is connected or not.
/whois nick is a shortcut for EXAMINE player action.

To add someone to your contact list, use the /contact nick command or double click his / her name in the player list (CTRL+2 to unfold it).

Contact list is useful to mark your friends and enemies, as their nicks will be colored green or red. Your gang fellows nicks are colored blue.

To play the board games (chess, chekers...), once you have one of the items in your inventory, just double click it to start a host. Other player can join by right-clicking on you.

Right-Click the arrows of a list to go to the first element or the last one. Windows should have this ;-)

The PAUSE key in your keyboard will fold / unfold the chat console.

Use the /loot command to loot a corpse if you can't click on it.

Use the /assist nick command to automatically run to a fight (and joining in), or, if the player's not in a fight, go where the player is in the zone.

This how-to can grow over time, anyway the goal is completing the manual.

Any question or problem, you can contact support.
